Brookite in Quartz

Brookite is a titanium oxide stone . May occur in combination with minerals such as albite, rutile and anatase. Commonly formed in low temperature alpine quartz veins and cavities in metamorphosed schists and gneiss, as well as placer deposits. Brookite is orthorhombic and one of the four naturally occurring polymorphs. ( minerals with the same composition but different structures of titanium dioxide.
