Sand Dollars are Echinoderms and they belong to a group know as clypeasteroida. This group includes starfish, sea cucumbers, crinoids and sea urchins. Sand Dollars have endoskeletons, they are not shells. They live on sandy bottoms with lots of sediment and mud.The most common sand dollar is called Aristotle's Lantern.
