Blue Rainbow Moonstone
Blue Rainbow Moonstones are composed of two different feldspars – transparent orthoclase and albite – that form planes within the crystal. We use a first quality moonstone and back it with a dark black tape to bring up the fire. The adularescence (schiller effect) it displays is due to their different refractive indexes and happens when light falls between the layers and scatters in many directions.
